English Fashion designer Gareth Pugh is the creator of this bright, but unwearable OLED (organic LEDs) dress. It seems that OLEDs emit more light and make you stand out in the crowd even more than before. According to Wired, "the plastic electronics technology allows circuits to be printed onto any surface and over large areas and is seen as a a low-cost alternative to conventional silicon-based electronics." The dress controlled by a microcontroller, changes color when triggered by a signal.

I put this dress onto my blog as I feel that it is very relevant to my previous research about light making things stand out more and making things look better than before. This dress certainly stands out and would defently go under the Innovation design category. It is something very different and inventive. Of course it is not wearable but if placed in a dark room im sure I would be drawn to it. It reminds me alot of a robot or something we would see if a future film. I think that we may see some more toned down versions of this dress sometime in the future.
